The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism - Albania was established in 2017 as the main government entity leading the way in this endeavor, but it became fully operational in June 2018. The CVE Center is a hub for coordination and capacity development of local stakeholders and frontline practitioners involved in efforts to counter violent extremism in Albania and the region by sharing best practices and developing effective evidence-based responses to counter the threat of violent extremism. The Center will strengthen collaboration and partnership at the local, national, and international levels, among government agencies, civil society, the private sector, religious communities, and the media, in order to:
