The CVE Center participated in the Regional Conference “Facilitating Regional Cooperation in Addressing Prison Radicalism and supporting authorities to overcome key challenges of criminal systems in the Western Balkans”.
The conference also served as the launch event of the project “Improving Punitive Capacity to Address Radicalism in Prisons in the Western Balkans – Horizontal Facilitation for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022” which is financially supported by the European Union and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe.
The CVE Center was invited to share Albania’s experience in this regard, highlighting the concrete work and innovative steps undertaken by state institutions up to this stage of intervention, as well as the challenges and the need for good practices to be shared by law enforcement agencies of this working direction with the region.
