The Center for Countering Violent Extremism has launched a national tour in 61 municipalities in the country to strengthen awareness and preventive capacities in the war against radicalization and extremism of terrorist acts, when it is already known that Albania is a concrete reality with awareness and prevention capacities in this war.

During this national tour aimed at strengthening local security councils and making serious investments in referral mechanisms, National Coordinator in the interview given to the Albanian Newspaper says that Albania is active in the global coalition against terror and the present Government’s National Strategy for Combating Violent Extremism is a success story.

During the interview, the CVE National Coordinator explains that aiming at an active role of the school and religious institutions to cope with radicalization and extremist propaganda, Albania is an active member and respected partner in the coalition against violent extremism since 2018. In this context, the CVE is helping projects across the country by training 28,000 teachers, over 2,000 policemen, psychologists and social workers considered to be at the forefront of preventing violent extremism and the radicalization that leads to terrorism

The CVE National Coordinator emphasizes that cooperation in any dimension that focuses on combating violent extremism consists on developing different actors and promoting values of religious tolerance and harmony, the rule of law and democracy.
