On October 17-18, 2024, the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism (The CVE Center), participated on behalf of Albania in an important two-day meeting in Vienna, organized by the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) as part of the “WIN for Women and Men: Strengthening Inclusive Security through Innovation and Networking for Gender Equality” program.

The meeting aimed to strengthen the Professional Network of Women in Preventing Radicalization and Violent Extremism (P/CVERLT) for Central Asia and Southeast Europe.

During the meeting, various topics were discussed, including online radicalization, the engagement of the education sector in preventing violent extremism, and the challenges of communicating with communities during rehabilitation and reintegration processes.

Representatives of the CVE Center, shared their expertise on the importance of strategic communication and capacity building in the Western Balkans. There was also particular interest in the rehabilitation and reintegration processes implemented in Albania. The meeting highlighted the critical role of this network of professionals in preventing radicalization and violent extremism, paving the way for further initiatives within the OSCE framework.
