The CVE Center concludes cooperation agreement with UNICEF

The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) concluded a cooperation agreement on the implementation of the National Strategy against Violent Extremism.

The parties engaged to cooperate in organizing, raising common awareness and developing capacity building activities against the phenomenon of violent extremism in the implementation of children’s rights under the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Specifically, open sessions will be held for awareness raising and training of the school administration, and it is expected to develop a module on the process of de-radicalization of children returned to school from conflict zones in Syria.

The purpose of all these activities is to raise awareness and increase the capacity of the school administration in case of identification and management, awareness of the values of religious coexistence and mutual respect for all community members.

The agreement was signed by the National Coordinator, Mr. Agron Sojati, and by UNICEF Representative in Albania, Mr. Roberto De Bernardi.
