The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, as well as the International Association for Solidarity, conducted the training of one hundred and fourteen coordinating teachers in preventing and countering violent extremism. The coordinating teachers participating in the training came from the Local Education Offices of Durrës, Elbasan, Cërrik, and Librazhd.

During the training, the experts talked about the signs showed by radicalized children, the steps that lead a child towards radicalization, the factors that push young people towards this phenomenon, as well as the cooperation and referral mechanism that exists at school and local level.

The training was conducted in the framework of the implementation of the project: “Promoting education to prevent violent extremism” which is financially supported by the Public Relations Office at the US Embassy.
