The Director of the CVE Center, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi, participated at the launching event of the National Helpline for Countering Violent Extremism 0800 45 45 organized by the Counseling Line for Women and Girls. During the welcoming speech, the Director of the Center stressed that it is always more profitable to invest our energies, resources and political will in preventing and raising awareness, than in rehabilitation and reintegration programs, which apart from costs on human and financial resources for our central and local authorities will always bear significant safety implications for the individuals, communities and the population as a whole.
The CVE Center has a key coordinative role with the relevant state institutions and the National Helpline for Violent Extremism in order to address citizens’ needs, which is an added value for the whole range of activities carried out in this direction.
During the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the CVE Center, the Ministry of Interior and the Counseling Line for Women and Girls.
The event was attended by representatives of the US Embassy, the EU Delegation in Tirana who have financially supported this initiative and Hedayah.
