The Coordination Center for Countring Violent Extremism gave its contribution to the meeting held at the Ministry of Interior between the representatives of the European Commission and the Albanian side. The meeting discussed the progress made in the implementation of the Joint Action Plan for the Fight against Terrorism, between the EU and the Western Balkan countries.

The Director of the CVE Center, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi reported to the Head of the Counter-Terrorism Unit in the Directorate of Internal Affairs of the European Commission, Martin Schieffer and his delegation and answered questions in the framework of interventions carried out by our institution, detailing the drafting of the new strategy, which there will be a new component, that of reintegration. Also, Mrs. Dervishi presented the work done by state structures in the process of rehabilitation and reintegration of citizens returned from conflict areas to the community. Among other things, she moderated the second panel where the focus was on the interventions carried out within the Prosecution and Prisons, the General Directorate for the Prevention of Money Laundering and strengthening the protection of citizens and critical infrastructure.

The work of the CVE Center was maximally appreciated by the EU delegation.
