The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism was represented by its Director Mr. Denion Meidani at the “Meeting of the Support Group for the Initiative against Terrorism in the First Pillar of the Western Balkans” in Sarajevo. This meeting was organized after the decisions of the sixth meeting of the Integrative Internal Security Governance Board (IISG), where the needs mapping reports were approved.
As part of the panel, Mr. Meidani stated in this meeting: -“I am impressed by the progress and the work done by the IISG especially in the construction of the database of projects which in our view as CVE will be a key actor and reference in the pursuit of various projects in the common fight against violent extremism and terrorism”
Some of the main points discussed in this meeting were: Presentation of the state of the IISG, presentation of the first draft of the annual response map report for Pillar 1 – for the Counter-Terrorism Initiative in the Western Balkans as well as discussion of the annual work plan for Pillar 1 – WBCTi, presentation of analysis of WBCTi projects based on IISG data, etc.
