24/06/2021The CVE Center supports the presentation of "The Portal for signaling websites with illegal content", a cooperation with civil society and NAECCS
The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism, supported the latest initiative taken against the phenomenon of violent extremism, by participating in the presentation of “The Portal for Signaling Websites with Illegal Content”, organized by the Academy of Political Studies in cooperation with the CVE Center and the National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber Security. The presentation was attended by representatives of civil society organizations and schools that function as community centers, which have experience in dealing with issues related to violent extremism.
The purpose of this portal is to create a secure online space and prevent the further spread of violent extremism. Also, this service will help children and young people to report illegal/harmful content encountered while surfing the Internet. Reports will be treated with complete confidentiality by the responsible authorities to assess the case, as well as to take immediate action against these contents.
The Director of the CVE Center, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi emphasized the importance of developing this kind of portal, but also the need to build capacities on the instructions of using this portal, as well as to ensure continuous awareness of society related to such phenomena.
