The new Director of the National Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism (The CVE Center), Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi was introduced today. The presentation was made by senior officials and support staff for legal and administrative issues at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Mrs. Dervishi comes from a nearly two-year experience with the staff of the CVE Center and has a significant academic and professional experience in the new leadership role she will perform at the CVE Center. In developing this task, Ms. Dervishi replaces the former head of this institution, Mr. Agron Sojati. Since August 2008, she has held the role of Head of the Civil Society and Security Sector at the CVE Center.
During the introductory meeting, the staff of the CVE Center talked about the consolidation that the CVE Center already has, as an institution, as well as about the progress of its ongoing progress regarding its challenges and priorities in the country and in the region.
