The Director of the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi held a meeting with the Director of Counter-Terrorism Diectorate in the State Police and representatives of the Border Crossing Point in Kapshtica, the Department of Public Order in the General Directorate of State Police, as well as the Local Directorate of Korça.

The meeting focused on the discussion of joint activities related to the identification and prevention of radicalized persons attempting to enter the territory of the Republic of Albania through the border crossing point or the green border as well as in the framework of migratory flows from the Middle East.

During the meeting where the Mayor of Devoll was also invited, it was discussed to undertake a concrete initiative in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration in Albania to increase the capacity of municipal staff and the State Police in the framework of assessing the needs of these two structures, following the model of success of the pilot program in the Municipality of Cërrik, which the CVE Center has been implementing for several years.
