Director of the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi, greeted the proceedings of the regional conference “Rethinking Religious Tolerance among the Partners of the Western Balkans” organized by the Albanian Helsinki Committee.
During her speech, Mrs. Dervishi underlined the importance of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the CVE Center and Religious Communities, as well as the fruitful institutional cooperation with the Interfaith Council of Albania in the framework of the role of religious education in preventing the phenomenon of violent extremism.
The conference was organized by the Albanian Helsinki Committee in the framework of the initiative “Towards a greater intercultural and inter-religious dialogue in the Western Balkans”.
Present at this event were all officially recognized religious authorities in Albania, who expressed their views and praised the cooperation with the Cve Center.
