Representatives of the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism participated in a two-day training on September 16-17, on the topic “Trauma-Informed Care,” held at the Multidisciplinary Community Center “Staying Together,” with the participation of 28 professionals from the fields of psychology and social work.
The training aimed to strengthen professional expertise and improve inter-institutional approaches to support vulnerable individuals and communities. Participants were equipped with the full range of skills to distinguish between trauma care and treatment; implement best practices in emergency situations with a focus on children and adolescents; recover psychological capacities and integrate trauma knowledge into work procedures to prevent re-traumatization.
Participation in this training reflects CVE Center’s mission to promote the prevention of radicalization and violent extremism through comprehensive approaches built on understanding and trauma-informed care.
This activity was carried out within the framework of the project: “Safe Prevention and Reintegration: A Holistic Approach and Resilience to Violent Extremism,” implemented by Terre des Hommes and funded by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF).
