On October 17, 2024, senior representatives from the CVE Center (Coordination Center Countering Violent Extremism) and the General Directorate of the Albanian State Police participated in the third Steering Committee meeting of the project “Enhancing the Protection of Public Spaces and Critical Infrastructures in the Western Balkans.” The meeting took place in Belgrade and was organized by CIVIPOL, the technical cooperation operator of the French Ministry of Interior, on behalf of France, and with the support of Italy, Croatia, and Greece.
This meeting marked an important moment following the completion of the initial phase and the first year of project implementation. Participants had the opportunity to assess the progress achieved so far, discuss the challenges encountered, and determine the direction for future cooperation. This event emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the protection of public spaces and critical infrastructures in the Western Balkans region.
