As part of the exchange of experiences for the prevention of violent extremism in schools, the Director of the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi, hosted a delegation from Kosovo consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Kosovo, coordinators of the technical group for CVE issues at this ministry, advisors and project assistants, as well as associate professors.

The meeting took place in the framework of a two-day visit by the delegation of  Kosovo in Tirana, as a result of continuous cooperation between the two countries in exchanging experiences to increase the capacity of teachers to identify and prevent the phenomenon of students who exhibit extreme violent behavior in school.

At the end of the meeting, it was concluded by the parties to draft an agenda on the implementation of joint interventions in the field of prevention and reintegration for higher education and agreed to establish a joint working group for the implementation of modules that will increase the teacher’s capacity to identify, manage, prevent and reintegrate students with radical behavior in school.

On the second day of the visit, the Kosovo delegation held a meeting at the premises of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth in Tirana, where it was welcomed by the General Director for Policies and Development of Education, Sport and Youth, Mrs. Zamira Gjini, as well as the working group on the P/CVE issues.
