The CVE Center contributed to the event organized by the United Nations (UN), in the framework of "Counter-Terrorism Week".

The Director of the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi, contributed to the event organized by the United Nations (UN), in the framework of “Counter-Terrorism Week”. The side event is entitled Life After ISIS: Returning individuals with links to terrorist groups from Syria and Iraq and the UN support available to the Member States through the Global Framework.

The event highlighted some key considerations for the Member States and the international community to meet the challenges related to the protection, prosecution, rehabilitation, and reintegration of returnees from conflict zones in Syria and Iraq and presented the UN support available to the Member States through the Global Framework.

The Director of the CVE Center, Mrs. Dervishi presented the progress and reinforcements undertaken by the Albanian Government regarding countering terrorism (CT), preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE) in Albania.
