The Director of the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi, met with a UK delegation consisting of the British Counter-Terrorism Liaison Officer for the Western Balkans, as well as the representative of the British Embassy in Belgrade for preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE).

The meeting focused on issues of regional as well as bilateral cooperation between the parties, empowerment of young people on security concepts, protection of the right and freedom of speech, as well as the threats posed by the phenomenon of radicalization. During the meeting was also discussed the regional initiative promoted by France in the framework of the engagement of European institutions, which will be attended by the Director of the CVE Center. In this regional initiative, Mrs. Dervishi will present Albania’s model in preventing and countering the phenomenon, challenges, and achievements at the national level.
