Information Sessions to Strengthen the Capacities of Police Officers in Shkodra on the early signs of Radicalization.

In the framework of implementing and fulfilling the measures set out in the 2023-2025 Action Plans of the Intersectoral Strategy for Preventing Violent Extremism and Countering Terrorism 2023-2025, as a national commitment to addressing priorities related to the prevention of radicalization and violent extremism and combating terrorism in all its forms, the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism, in cooperation with SCPA, conducted three information sessions during the month of May.
These sessions focused on early signs of radicalization, the factors and causes leading to radicalization, as well as online radicalization.
The sessions were organized within the framework of the Project “Strengthening Community Policing in Albania – Phase III (2024 – 2029)”, funded by the Government of Sweden. The information sessions with General Patrol Officers were held as follows: Group I on May 6, Group II on May 15, and Group III on May 21, 2026.
The sessions were delivered by specialists of the CVE Center and aim to contribute to strengthening the capacities of State Police officers in the early identification and prevention of violent extremism phenomena, through enhancing the knowledge and professional skills of community policing structures.
