The two-day workshop held in Shkodër, Albania aimed to promote the national management (technical, human resources and knowledge on risk analysis models) capacities of the Albanian Border and Migration Police to identify potential Foreign Terrorist Fighters (FTFs) at border crossing points, in compliance with international human rights standards.
The participants have shared good practices, compared national strategies, legal provisions, and discussed methods to improve national, regional and international cooperation in dealing with threats originating from FTFs.
This initiative has been co-organized among the CVE Coordination Center – Albania, European Union (EU), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
