Center for Violent Extremism trains civil society organizations in Korça.

The Center for Countering Violent Extremism in cooperation with the Interregional Council and the Center for Civic Legal Initiatives conducted, from 11-13 of September, the second training of civil society organizations in the Korça district.

The three-day training was held in Pogradec. About 20 participants from 17 organizations working in this region of the country participated, mainly with marginalized groups of society. Participants were introduced to the National Action Plan against Violent Extremism as well as the activities of state institutions working in this field.

A special moment during the training was the introduction of the participants to the history of official religious beliefs in Albania, but treated from an anthropological point of view, which was accompanied by a detailed analysis of the concepts involved in this field. In the same context, participants were introduced to concrete elements of interregional cooperation and harmony over the years, focusing on knowledge of concrete elements of the Muslim religion in the country.
