The Coordination Center Against Violent Extremism (CCVE) was invited to share its experience in working with youth in the field of preventing radicalization and combating violent extremism during the one-day regional exchange event “Regional Exchange on Multi-Stakeholder Engagement in Preventing Violent Extremism,” held on June 16, 2025, in Pristina. The meeting served as a platform for cross-border exchange of best practices, challenges, and lessons learned in the prevention of violent extremism.

This event was organized within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Multi-Stakeholder Approaches to Prevent Youth Violence and Build Resilience,” implemented by the Advocacy Training and Resource Center (ATRC) in collaboration with the Counseling Line for Women and Girls (CLWG), with the support of the regional grant “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Shared Society in the Western Balkans.”

The event brought together representatives from civil society, state institutions, and youth organizations/forums from three countries: Albania, Kosova, and North Macedonia.

Structured around four thematic panels, the exchange focused on: Youth participation in local mechanisms and collaboration with local institutions; Successful youth-led initiatives, including motivations, challenges, and lessons learned; Regional cooperation in youth work and the prevention of violent extremism and hate speech; The values and challenges of regional exchanges and joint initiatives.
