The CVE Center was invited to attend the first roundtable of the First Regional Counter-Terrorism Forum (GCTF)’s. The focus of this international event held at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, Germany on 11-12 December 2018 was “Improving Capabilities for Detecting and Interdicting Terrorist Travel through Enhanced Terrorist Screening and Information Sharing”. It was also discussed on the effective strategies on combating violent extremism with regard to the current state of regional capacity. The event is the first of a series of regional workshops that will result in the development of a GCTF Good Practices document, which will be put forward for endorsement at the Tenth GCTF Ministerial Plenary Meeting in the margins of the UN General Assembly in September 2019.
