Within the project “Prevention of radicalization, extremism and violence in school and community environments, as a tool to ensure the rights of the child”, the CVE Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth (MASR), and through the support of expertise from the Kingdom United realized the curriculum “Prevention of violent extremism and reintegration of radicalized children in school”.

This curriculum was piloted at the school administration in 5 hotspots of Albania. The focus of this module was on student safety so as not to be targeted by recruiters, as well as the preparation of teachers and school support staff to respond to the school’s needs for rehabilitation and positive change.  The trainings were conducted in the Local Education Office, Tirana, Peshkopi, Elbasan, Pogradec and Korça. The participants in the training were the coordinating teachers for following the action plan at school level, psychologists, social workers of schools, school leaders, school security officers and coordinators of ZVAP.

The project was funded by UNICEF through the implementation of ‘Save the Children’.
