Coordination Center for Countering  Violent Extremism contributed to the Sixth Regional Security Coordination Conference “Enhancing regional security co-operation: a pillar of the European path of the Western Balkans”. The high-level conference was organized by the Regional Cooperation Council in cooperation with the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the French Institute for Advanced National Defense Studies.

The conference was attended by the representatives of the Western Balkan countries and discussed the cooperation on regional security, the phenomena of radicalism and violent extremism, the flow of illegal migration, as well as organized crime and trafficking.

The Director of the CVE Center, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi, presented the achievements and the current situation regarding this phenomenon in Albania, and stressed the importance of the inter-institutional cooperation.

During the conference, it was also pointed out the model of good practice that has been created by Albania to oppose this phenomenon, as well as the impact that this has had on other countries in the region as a positive and successful influence.
