The CVE center gathers donors at the second coordination workshop on violent extremism

The CVE Center organized the second workshop in the context of donor role and support of the donors in the field of preventing and opposing violent extremism. The workshop was held in co-ordination with the Integration Group on Internal Security Governance supported by EU.

In this meeting co-chaired by the National Coordinator for the National Action Plan on Countering Radicalism and Violent Extremism, Mr. Agron Sojati and Mr. De Ceuninck, Regional Counter-Terrorism and Security Council Advisor, attended by European and international representatives who are interested and support the comprehensive inter-institutional approach of our entire society against this phenomenon, such as: Embassy of the United States,  EU Delegation, French Embassy, German Embassy, Italian Embassy, Dutch Embassy and Swiss Embassy.

The National Coordinator briefed the participants on the results of work and initiatives undertaken in various areas of intervention under the National Action Plan on the activities carried out in the field of violent extremism in 2019, while donor representatives expressed their interest in supporting the CVE Center on the needs related to the additional inter-institutional action plan adopted by the Prime Minister “On the reception and treatment of Albanian citizens returning from conflict zones in Syria and Iraq”.

The workshop highlighted the harmonization of joint efforts to further coordinate the addressing of issues that need to be considered in preventing and combating violent extremism in national territory.
