The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism held a bilateral meeting with the Macedonian counterpart in the framework of the exchange of experiences between the two neighboring countries, Albania and North Macedonia on the processes of Rehabilitation and Reintegration of former foreign fighters and their families.

North Macedonia presented the experiences of the respective governments on these processes focusing on the presentation of the National Plan for Reintegration, Resocialization, and Rehabilitation, as well as on the presentation of security aspects within the process of preparation, arrival, accommodation, and return to the community of returnees.

The Albanian delegation consisted of representatives of the ministries involved in the process, the Anti-Terror Directorate, the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime, as well as other institutions involved in this process.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the International Organization for Migration in the region.
