The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism in cooperation with the Center for Legal Civic Initiatives (CLCI) organized national training of local actors and civil society organizations (CSOs) are working to prevent and counter violent extremism and radicalization in Albania.
This training on the topic, “The role of actors at the local level to prevent and combat violent extremism in Albania. Access to All Society” is organized within the project: “Communities first: establishing a Network of Civil Society Organizations to Address Violent Extremism – From Prevention to Reintegration”. The project is implemented by CLCI in cooperation with Forum MNE (Montenegro), Partners Kosovo – Center for Conflict Management (Kosovo), Centre for Common Ground (Macedonia), DamaD Kulturni Centar, Novi Pazar (Serbia); and Hope and Homes for Children (Bosnia & Herzegovina), with financial support from the European Union.
Participants in the training, who were: CVE Center representatives, members of the Local Public Safety Councils in Dibër, Bulqiza and Mat, representatives of youth councils, representatives of the administrative units of the Municipality of Tirana, security officers, representatives of the Commissioner for Protection against Discrimination, as well as representatives of NGOs discussed the comprehensive approach to preventing and countering violent extremism.
