The staff of the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism attended a training session on the function of the ICRS System, a platform that contributes to digitalization efforts and provides a mechanism for the social and economic reintegration of returnees from conflict zones in Syria and Iraq. The training was conducted with the support of IOM Albania as part of the project funded by the European Union titled “Building Institutional Capacities in the Western Balkans to Address Challenges” related to the reintegration, resocialization, and rehabilitation of foreign fighters returned from conflict zones and their families.
The presentation of the advantages and features of the ICRS system is based on the results of consultations conducted during the past year, including reviewing and adapting to the context and needs in Albania. The training focused on presenting the main functions, constituent modules of the system, and providing opportunities for data generation for reporting purposes.
The ICRS system plays a significant role in developing tailored solutions for the reintegration needs of individuals, in ongoing efforts to provide maximum chances for medium and long-term success.
