On 13–14 November 2025, the Coordination Center for countering Violent Extremism participated in a regional event organized by the EU Knowledge Hub, focused on the implementation of the new Joint Action Plan (JAP) on Preventing and Countering of Terrorism and Violent Extremism for the Western Balkans.

This meeting followed the signing of the JAP by six Western Balkan countries—Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia—on October 30, 2025 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The new plan sets out strategic objectives and establishes a renewed regional commitment to coordinated action.

Held in Skopje, the meeting brought together key stakeholders from across the region to advance the implementation of the JAP. A critical element for its success is the development of national roadmaps, which will serve as tailored instruments for translating regional priorities into country-specific actions while maintaining coherence across the Western Balkans.

The primary objective of the meeting was to support partners in designing national roadmaps aligned with the JAP. The aim is to create a shared framework that ensures consistency while allowing flexibility for country-specific content. This approach will facilitate monitoring, comparison of implementation levels, and identification of technical support needs.
