The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism contributed to the 15th meeting of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF): “Responding to the Rising Challenge of Violent Extremism in Sahel.” During this meeting, the growing threat of violent extremism in the Sahel and the importance of strengthening cooperation to prevent and counter violent extremism at the community, regional and international levels were discussed.

During the meeting, the panel discussed to reach a common approach to preventing the phenomenon and strengthening cooperation to increase sustainability in the community. It also discussed increasing public and private sector investment in preventing violent extremism and radicalism, following a community-based approach to the region.
