On September 10, 2025, the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism coordinated a training session, held at the premises of the Municipality of Pogradec, with frontline professionals (doctors, nurses, psychologists, and teachers) who play a crucial role in identifying early signs of radicalization and raising awareness about the risks of violent extremism.
The training aimed to focus on the factors that bring about these phenomena as well as prevention through early intervention, made possible by cooperation between schools, health centers, and local institutions for clearer and more empathetic communication with young people and their families.
This activity was carried out by GADC Albania, as part of the project “Building Resilience among Youth and Women in Pogradec to Prevent Violent Extremism”, sub-granted under the project “Empowering Local Structures and Government Institutions to Prevent Violent Extremism and Support the Rehabilitation and Reintegration Process in Albania,” funded by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF) and implemented by the Initiative for Social Change (ARSIS), in full coordination with the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism and ACPD Albania.
