Possibility of financing the initiatives of Civil Society Organizations working in the area of prevention and countering of violent extremism in Albania

21/08/2020

The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism, in the framework of regional cooperation, is cooperating with he Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF) which is a Swiss foundation with a secretariat located in Geneva, Switzerland. It is governed by a board composed of many actors with representatives from different states. For more, visit the link: https://www.gcerf.org/governance/. The focus of GCERF is working with civil society groups and Civil Society Organizations  that have built trust in the community where they work.

In this context, GCERF, in cooperation with RAFP in the Western Balkans, is pleased to announce a call for expressions of interest for CSOs in Albania, Kosovo and Northern Macedonia to develop a consortium and become a Key Beneficiary of GCERF funding, through the Accelerated Funding Mechanism.

The call aims to support initiatives aimed at creating a conducive environment for the rehabilitation and reintegration of Foreign Terrorist Fighters and their families. You can find the call documents in the link: https://www.gcerf.org/call-for-application-westernbalkans/ .

All expressions of interest must be completed and submitted electronically at call.westernbalkans@gcerf.org by 27th of September 2020. Email should be underlined as ‘EOI-ALBANIA’, ‘EOI-KOSOVO’, or ‘EOI-Northern MACEDONIA’ – in the subject line – depending on the country you are applying for. The lack of ‘EOI-ALBANIA’ in the subject of the email, may compromise the acceptance of your application.

The CVE Center, in the framework of a fruitful partnership with Civil Society Organizations through the inclusive approach of the whole society, encourages all civil society actors who are legitimized according to the criteria set by the GCERF, to apply in this open call.
