The CVE Center participated in the workshop on “The Role of Religious Tolerance for the Prevention of Violent Extremism” which was held in cooperation with the Interregional Council in Albania, in the framework of the project titled “Value-based educational activities to prevent Violent Extremism among youth in Albania”. This project is funded by the European Union with the support of Hedayah and implemented by the Albanian Helsinki Committee.

The appeal of the representatives of the religious communities for the youth in Albania was: “No society is immune to the phenomena of violent extremism and terrorism therefore, we must always be united and vigilant against the forms in which it appears”, as well as to stay away from conflicts. Young people should be inspired by religious harmony, tolerance, and respect interregional dialogue and understanding between different religions.
