The National Coordinator for Countering Violent Extremism, Mr. Agron Sojati, interviewing for the “Diplomaticus” television show by the journalist Erion Kaçori, acknowledged that the Albanian government has a clear strategy in place for the de-radicalization Albanian citizens who engaged in ISIS structures. “The necessary information is being exchanged from well-established official sources, because we consider that women and children seek to return, we have not legally created artificial barriers, but taking initiatives requires first and foremost creating a secure environment for citizens. We need to have in mind that there are individuals who have not just been exposed, but have also participated in terrorist groups such as ISIS and all of them are treated with much sensibility”, declared Mr. Sojati for News 24.
