At the 9th meeting of the directors of the South East European National Security Authorities (SEENSA), which is one of three security cooperation initiatives, the National Coordinator presented the progress of the implementation of the National Strategy for countering Violent Extremism.
During his speech, the National Coordinator made an overall geostrategic assessment of the security of the Southeast European region focusing on violent extremism and foreign fighters. Specifically, the importance of regional security as a whole in the architecture of European security and beyond, the prospect of European integration of the region as an essential element for the peace, stability and security of the region, and the importance of regional cooperation to meet security challenges and the launch of the regional platform for countering radicalization and violent extremism that leads to terrorism and foreign fighters.
The SEENSA authority is envisioned by the CVE Center as a specialized format for security cooperation within the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP). The meeting was also attended by the new Director of the NATO Security Office (NOS), Mr. Donald Gonneville, who visited our country for the first time
