The director of the CVE Center at the EU Council Conference “Review and Prospects for the Prevention of Radicalism in Europe”

The director of the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi contributed to the conference “Review and Prospects for the Prevention of Radicalism in Europe” organized by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in France.

The conference aimed to support efforts to improve the cooperation between EU countries and the Western Balkan countries to prevent radicalization, shedding light on the main challenges in the field of prevention of violent extremism as well as exchanging the best practices of the participating countries.

In her speech, the Director of the CVE Center, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi stressed Albania’s progress in countering and preventing violent extremism and radicalism, as well as the Western Balkans’ commitment to these issues. Also, Mrs. Dervishi delivered her speech at the conference on the results achieved, the manifestation of radicalism, the lessons learned from the experiences and future challenges in the Western Balkans.
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in France organized the conference within the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union held in Paris.
