The Director of the Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism, Mrs. Lejdi Dervishi, welcomed the delegation from the United Arab Emirates, headed by H.E. Dr. Ali Rashed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the International Center of Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism, Hedayah. Hedayah is the leading international organization dedicated to using its expertise and experience to counter violent extremism in all its forms and is a key partner of the CVE Center.
During the meeting were discussed the initiatives and achievements of Albanian government institutions in the framework of preventing the phenomenon of violent extremism through education, rehabilitation and reintegration programs, as well as cooperation with religious communities through the Interreligious Council of Albania. The delegation conveyed its considerations to the Albanian side for all the positive results achieved through the work of the CVE Center, emphasizing the importance of partnership and cooperation between the CVE Center and the Hedayah organization.
In the days of the visit of this delegation to Albania, the Director of the CVE Center mediated their meeting with the head of the Muslim Community of Albania as well as with the Head of the Interreligious Council of Albania. Mrs. Dervishi accompanied the delegation to the meeting with the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, in order to highlight the cooperation in the field of education and research and possible initiatives on youth.
