The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism contributed to the Side Event: “The Role of Cities in Advancing Global Efforts to Prevent and Counter Violent Extremism”, organized by the Strong Cities Network, which took place within the UN General Assembly.
During the webinar were reflected the achievements of the Albanian Government and the CVE Center in empowering local institutions to oppose and prevent the phenomenon of violent extremism and radicalism at the local level. This level also includes the role of Municipalities in the implementation of rehabilitation and reintegration programs for returnees from the conflict zones in Syria and Iraq.
